Three electrical engineers with a shared vision started SolarGrid Lanka with seed capital, a pickup truck, and an unwavering belief in Sri Lanka's solar future.
50 Residential Installations
Reached our first 50 residential clients, refining our installation process and building our reputation for quality workmanship in Colombo.
100+ Homes Powered, Team Doubles
Grew our team to 25 engineers and technicians. Launched our first commercial division to serve factories and warehouses in the Western Province.
First Megawatt Installation
Commissioned our first 1MW commercial rooftop system at a garment factory in Katunayake — a landmark moment for the company and Sri Lankan industrial solar.

15+ years in power systems and grid integration. Holds a Masters in Electrical Engineering from University of Moratuwa and is a licensed engineer with the IESL.
Samanthi Perera
Expert in project delivery and regulatory compliance. Personally handled over 200 CEB and LECO net metering applications with a 100% success rate.
Roshan de Silva
Former senior engineer at CEB's generation division. Now leads our installation teams and quality assurance programme across all active projects.
